The workplace should be a safe working environment.
Derek Roche CMIOSH, Safety Consultant works with Smith Groundworks to ensure that all our employees are up to date with H.S.A. requirements.
All machinery is checked weekly to ensure that it is in perfect working order and all legal requirements are met.
By outlining to employees that the have a responsibility for their own Safety and Health and reminding them that their actions can impact on the lives of others. We expect all or employees to co-operate with their safety officer and supervisors in all matter pertaining to Health and Safety. We encourage our foreign nationals to contribute to our Safety programme so that we may all share our experiences and knowledge.
We take our obligation to provide welfare facilities seriously and all our sites are provided with canteen, drying rooms and office accommodation.
Health & Safety Policy
We have a stringent health and safety policy and take great pride in our perfect record. We encourage ongoing training and knowledge sharing amongst staff members. we always strive to keep our good record.

We are fully insured for any works we contract. We fully accept our obligations to operate in accordance with the requirements of all current legislation and codes of practice relating to health & safety.
Full Time Consultant
We engage the services of a full time health and safety expert to ensure we are up to date with best practices. In addition we are advised on any changes in regulations or health and safety directives.The company has an excellent record for Health and Safety at its places of work.
